Interpretariat autorizat la notar

Interpreting

Interpreting is on-the-spot oral translation, provided by an interpreter authorized by the Ministry of Justice. It is mandatory when a person who does not speak Romanian signs a document at a notary, gets married at the civil registry or is questioned at the prosecutor’s office. Expert For You provides the interpreter and coordinates the appointment with the notary.

What interpreting is

Interpreting is faithful oral translation, aimed at effective communication between foreign-language speakers or an audience. It is provided by interpreters authorized by the Ministry of Justice, with extensive experience in their field.

The difference between an interpreter and a translator is that the translator can research the terminology used, whereas an interpreter is required to know the foreign language and the terms used very well, without the advantage of dictionaries.

The interpreting service can be provided for one person or a small group at a notary’s office, when one or more foreign citizens who do not know Romanian appear before the notary; at the civil registry, when the law requires it; at the prosecutor’s office, when the case involves a citizen who does not speak Romanian.
